Party at the Freemont Studios in Seattle - Introducing The Next Generation To Washington Wines.
Winemakers and the Washington Wine Commission well know that as the "Boomers" age, the "next vintage" of wine consumers are the "Twenty Something" generation. This generation is more diverse and open to trying wine than the Boomers were at this age. Most of us were still totally content with beer and if we did buy wine it was in a box or a gallon jug. The new 20 somethings are more adventurous and arguably have more sophisticated tastes. The Washington Wine Commission's 20 Something takes this to heart and provides a fun event that helps bring this new generation of wine enthusiasts and some of the best Washington Wines together.
I've got to say, even for a fifty something like myself, this event was a blast. Well done Washington Wine Commission, and kudos to the event planners, chefs, and winemakers that made this evening possible. Mark your calendars for next year!
