Laurelhurst Cellars, in Georgetown just south of downtown Seattle, is quietly making some amazing red wine

Owners and winemakers, Dave Halbgewachs, Greg Smallwood and Gabe Warner of Laurelhurst Cellars are making some incredible red wine in their Georgetown winery just south of downtown Seattle in Washington state. They invited us to visit the winery for a tour and barrel tasting. We were joined by my brother, Mike, who was in town for a forensic science conference, and his wife, Joanne, a chef in Cincinnati, Ohio. Their hospitality, and amazing wine, made for a really enjoyable evening.
