While barrel tasting at Laurelhurst Cellars, we had some food & wine discussions with the owner/winemakers and visiting chef, Joanne Giovanna Delli Carpini Trimpe. Greg, Gabe & Dave are making some awesome red wine in the Seattle area, while Joanne is cooking up some great food as the executive chef at St. Peter in Chains cathedral in Cincinnati, Ohio. She also recently released a cookbook called Holy Chow. Joanne grew up in Italy where her father made his own wine, so she is always looking for good wine to pair with her food.
